Privacy Policy
Who we are
MrLease BV ("MrLease", "we", "us") is the data controller for the personal information collected through this website and the MrLease mobile app. For any privacy request, reach us through the contact details on our contacts page.
What personal information do we collect?
When you register or manage your account, we may ask for:
- Your name, email address and phone number.
- Your preferred language and how you'd like to hear from us (marketing preferences).
- Your company's details: company name, VAT / tax ID, country, city and postal code.
When you browse our website or app, we also automatically receive your device's internet protocol (IP) address, which helps us learn about your browser and operating system.
We do not collect payment or financial information through the website or the app.
How do we use your information?
We may use the information we collect from you when you register, sign up for our newsletter, respond to a survey or marketing communication, browse the website or app, or use certain other features in the following ways:
- To provide your account and the services you request, such as preparing a leasing proposal.
- To personalize your experience and to deliver the type of content and vehicle offerings in which you are most interested.
- To improve our website and app in order to better serve you.
- For email marketing purposes, with your consent.
If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no. We also run public broadcast channels (for example on WhatsApp and Telegram); joining or leaving those channels is entirely up to you and handled by those platforms.
Analytics
We collect anonymous usage data — such as screens viewed, vehicles viewed, searches performed and error logs — to understand how our website and app are used and to improve them. This data is not linked to your account or identity. We use trusted third-party services that process this information on our behalf.
How do we protect your information?
Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. All data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
How long do we keep your information?
We keep your personal information for as long as your account exists, or as long as needed to provide our services and to meet our legal obligations. If you delete your account, your personal information is removed as described below.
Your rights and account deletion
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to access, correct, delete and receive a copy of your personal information, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time.
You can delete your account yourself at any moment: open the account page on the website or in the app and choose Delete account. Deletion is immediate and permanent — your personal information is removed and cannot be recovered. You can also send us any privacy request through our contacts page; you additionally have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Do we use cookies?
Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser that enables the site's or service provider's systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. We use cookies to:
- Understand and save user's preferences for future visits.
- Help remember and process user interactions with the website.
- Compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interactions in order to offer better site experiences and tools in the future. We may also use trusted third-party services that track this information on our behalf.
You can choose to turn off all cookies. You do this through your browser settings. Since every browser is a little different, look at your browser's Help Menu to learn the correct way to modify your cookies.
Email policy
Our emails may contain a single, campaign-unique “web beacon pixel” to tell us whether, and how many times, our emails are opened and verify any clicks through to links within the email. We may use this information for purposes including determining which of our emails are more interesting to users and to query whether users who do not open our emails wish to continue receiving them. The pixel will be deleted when you delete the email. If you do not wish the pixel to be downloaded to your device, you should select to receive emails from us in plain text rather than HTML.
Disclosure
We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so.
Third-party disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your Personally Identifiable Information. Service providers who process data on our behalf (such as hosting, email delivery and analytics providers) do so under contract and only for the purposes described in this policy.
Age of consent
By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.
